500 years ago, this month, Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses on the door of All Saints’ Church in Wittenberg, Germany. This simple act of defiance against the Catholic Church launched a movement that would reshape Christianity throughout Europe and the world.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
So often in church settings we hear the same words over and over, and while there are many examples, the one placed on my heart is “being called.”
