BSU is a student lead organization. We have a new leadership team every year beginning in January. Lead team applications will be available in the fall semester each year.

Mo Baker Director
Originally from Alabama, I have lived as a Mississippi “transplant” for almost 30 years. I moved to Oxford in 2002, where I became the director of the Baptist Student Union at Ole Miss. I hold degrees from the University of West Alabama (B. S.—Biology), New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (M. Div.—Christian Education), and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (Ed. D.—Leadership). My wife and I have four wonderful children, and in all that we do we want to bring glory to God in our lives and work.
I want to see college students discover who they are in Jesus Christ and join Him in His work, whether on our campus, in our community, or around the world. When I’m not busy leading collegiate ministry or engaging in adjunct teaching, I enjoy spending endless hours with my family, watching sports, gardening, fishing, reading, and, occasionally, coin collecting. I love good conversation and a smooth cup of coffee, so I invite you to join me anytime—the first cup is on me!
Tyler Bolen Associate Director
I am from Batesville, MS just right down the road from Oxford. I am married to Sarah Glenn, and we have one son, Samuel. I graduated from Delta State University in 2015, and immediately began seminary. I finished my M. Div. from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2019. Before coming to BSU I served as a youth minister for 10 years in various churches across Mississippi.
My desire is to serve college students as they walk with Christ, and to help them grow as disciples of Jesus. I enjoy coffee, sports, reading, and running, and I look forward to how the Lord will use BSU to impact college students on the campus of Ole Miss!
Liesa Holeman Assistant Director
My name is Liesa Holeman. I’m married to Jeff Holeman the missions and discipleship pastor at FBC Oxford. We have 2 children. I am the College Minister at FBC Oxford. I am an alumni from Ole Miss and earned my Masters and Bachelors of Accountancy here. Go Rebs! My family has served in overseas missions with the International Mission Board for 10 years. I love traveling, Ole Miss sports and spending time with my kids! My passion is missions, discipling young adults, children/youth ministry and international ministry.
Christy Bain Assistant Director
Hello! My name is Christy and I’m originally from Clinton, MS. I graduated with a degree in Graphic Design from Delta State University in 2011 and completed my Masters from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2018. My husband and I moved to Oxford, MS in 2020 to work with college students. We believe God created everyone for a purpose and our hope is that we could help students find their purpose! Before coming to BSU, I served with the International Mission Board and on church staff at FBC Clinton. I love traveling, painting and coffee. I am always up for a cup of coffee and good conversation! 🙂
